Meet Brad Johnson
Dr. Brad Johnson received a Bachelor of Science from Davidson College, where he also played Division I football. After graduating from college, Dr. Johnson returned home to Norfolk, VA to complete his medical training and dermatology residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School, where he served as Chief Resident in his final year there. He is currently a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Johnson comes from a long line of medical professionals, both in medicine and dentistry, which sparked his interest in medicine from a young age. His grandfather was a dermatologist and dermatopathologist, his father is a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon, his mother is an internal medicine physician, and his sister is a dermatology physician assistant.
In the field of dermatology, Dr. Johnson is most passionate about detecting and treating skin cancer, psoriasis, and acne, as well as performing dermatologic surgery. He enjoys the varying medical complexity and diversity of skin conditions that he sees each day while treating patients. No day is the same which keeps things exciting and fun.
When Dr. Johnson is not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with family, exploring with his dog, being on the water, and traveling.
