I’m a new patient. What should I do to prepare?
First, you can visit the forms page of our site and print and complete the 3 forms there. This will save you time when you get to our office. We recommend coming in at least 15 minutes early for your appointment so that we can make sure your paperwork is completed (this additional paperwork depends on what condition or treatment you are specifically being seen for). This also gives you time to cleanse your skin of any makeup, moisturizers or sunscreen so that we can take new patient photos of you prior to the start of your appointment so that our staff can take a closer look at your skin.
Why do I have to remove my makeup for pictures?
It really is important that your skin is free of any makeup, moisturizers and sunscreen when we take your photographs. This is because our new digital cameras are very high resolution and the pigments that absorb and reflect light in your makeup or moisturizers tend to mask the underlying things you want us to treat. We can achieve the best photos if we start with your skin being fresh and clean of any products. Furthermore, many treatments cannot be performed with makeup in place. However, if you would like to reapply your makeup after your appointment, we have lighted makeup mirrors in our restrooms for you to use at your convenience.
What kinds of services do you offer?
We are a cosmetic dermatology practice with over 25 years of experience offering services for non-surgical skin rejuvenation. We specialize in anti-aging procedures for treating fine lines, wrinkles, scars, birthmarks, loose skin, localized fat bulges, spider veins, uneven skin tone and pigmentation and so much more! See our Services page for a complete list of Treatments and Conditions. We offer an alternative to our busy patients who want a refreshed appearance with little or no downtime and without the use of general anesthesia.
Do you accept insurance?
We do accept most major insurance plans, in regard to coverage for our medical and general dermatology services offered. In most cases, our cosmetic services are not covered under insurance and are to be paid out-of-pocket.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
Call us! We do request that you give us 24 hours’ notice prior to cancellation of your appointment. If an emergency arises when our offices are closed, please leave us a voicemail at (757) 437-8900. If you would like to reschedule your appointment, please include a phone number and the best time to reach you.
Do you offer any payment plans?
We do offer CareCredit (you can apply online at www.carecredit.com ), but given the economy we encourage you to not incur debt or use credit unless you have a special situation. We have a wide array of non-surgical treatment options and if you need we can work with you and your budget to find other affordable treatments to refresh your appearance.
